Kate Farms, a plant-based brand of high-protein nutrition shakes, is expanding its national retail distribution with expanded availability at Walmart and CVS.

The nutrition brand is also introducing vanilla as the newest flavor in its growing lineup of high-protein nutrition shakes designed to meet everyday health needs. The new vanilla flavor was developed through more than 800 flavor iterations and 611 taste tests to offer a creamy, balanced taste profile without the chalky aftertaste often associated with high-protein beverages.

The company has a legacy of developing medical nutrition products used in more than 1,500 hospitals and medical settings nationally, and is now entering the CPG channel to support evolving consumer health needs such as filling common nutrient gaps or changing eating behaviors driven by the use of GLP-1 medications.

The company’s shakes are anticipated to roll out to more than 6,800 Walmart locations and CVS stores nationwide by August.

“Kate Farms was built on the belief that nutrition should meet real health needs with higher standards,” said Tom Beecher, president. “As more people look for ways to support their health in everyday life, we see an opportunity to bring clinically developed, high-quality nutrition to more people in more places. This expansion reflects the next chapter of our mission: making good nutrition more accessible while staying true to the clinical rigor, ingredient standards, and care that define Kate Farms.”
